Need to do better at this......

It seems like i am always just playing catch up on our blog! I will really try to do better at posting more regularly, I promise Shelley :)

This summer has been super busy, we have been all over the place. We have settled into life here in California, and are enjoying it. The thing that has been the biggest adjustment is the heat. It averages around 103 pretty much everyday. We had what they call a 'cold spell' where it was in the mid 90's for a few days. Definitely an adjustment, we have spent a lot of time in the pool, eating popsicles and trying not to roast alive!

Kenley is doing well at his job, he is learning lots and enjoying the challenges and opportunities it gives him. Hadley and I have enjoyed finding new places to explore, and getting to know people in the area. Our ward here has been amazing! Everyone is really friendly and welcoming, and we already have some good friends to play with. 

This summer we have done some fun things. We took Hadley on her first camping trip over the 4th of July. The beach is about 2 hours from our house so we decided to go and check it out. It was actually pretty cold, so we had to bundle up. It was a fun little weekend trip, but next time we plan to go to a bit warmer beach!

Hadley when swimming for the first time in July as well. She lasted about 10 min the first time and wasn't to sure if she liked it, but now that we have gone a few more times she really likes it and loves to fall asleep in the pool.

In July, Hadley and I went and visited my family in Pittsburgh. We had fun relaxing, going on walks, shopping, and visiting down town P-burg. Grandpa and Grandma Robinson and Uncle Taylor LOVED playing with Haddy, and she loved being held 24/7 and all the attention. Flying across the country with a 2 month old baby by myself wasn't as bad as i thought it would be, she really likes to fly and pretty much just sleeps the whole way.

After we got back from Pittsburgh was packed up again and headed to Utah for the Holt Family Reunion. We had lots of fun seeing everyone. Kenley's family is huge so there is never a shortage of people to talk to, fun things to do, or food to eat! We went swimming, had a fun barn carnival, went to the rodeo, did a 5k with sisters in law, participated in/watched the 24th of July parade, had a huge water fight and lots of other fun stuff. We loved the chance to get together with all the family, we dont get to see everyone very often  so we really enjoyed our time with them and are grateful for such a great family!

On The Road Again

Time for another update in our busy lives. Well we have moved, yet again and we now live in California! Kenley got a job with a great company, where he is able to get out and get his hands dirty but also gets to use his hard earned finance degree. He has really enjoyed it so far, and feels like it is a great fit for him! We found a great town to live in, and we are getting settled into our new lives in California. We miss having family near by, but we are excited to finally be settled down and ready for our new adventure. We would love having visitors anytime!
Hadley is doing great and is growing up so fast. She has lived in 3 towns and 2 different states so far in her 2 months of life. She has been so great during all the changes in our lives. We have been blessed with a very mellow baby who doesn't mind change and chaos. She is such a smiley baby, and loves having people talk to her. She loves to eat, and now weights 10 lbs and 4 oz. I think she looks just like Kenley. She has the most beautiful bright blue eyes, and what little hair she has is blondish/redish hair just like Kenley when he was a baby.

Hadley is one month old. It had been a crazy month, but she has been such a trooper through it all.

Life

Life for the past month has been crazy busy for us! In the past month we have......
- Had a baby 
- Kenley survived (and did really well i may add) finals week with a newborn 
- Kenley and I both graduated from BYU
- Blessed our baby girl
- Had lots of fun with family visiting us for Graduation/Baby
- Packed up and cleaned our entire house
- Moved to Southern Utah
- Celebrated our 2 year anniversary
- Celebrated my first mothers day as a mother
- And we will be traveling to California this week for a job interview
So our lives have been a bit of a whirl wind, but we have been enjoying every moment with our little girl. She is such a great baby. She sleeps well, eats well, and is a happy and content little girl. We are so very grateful for our family and friends who have been so much help to us. We could not have done it without all your help!!!

So all is well for the time-being!  We have had quite a week with finals, graduation, and blessing little Hadley Kaye, and we are excited for the coming weeks.  I think one of the events most awaited by Erin post-labor was dressing up her little baby!  Here are some pictures of the evidence.

Well our little bundle of joy has arrived! 
Hadley Kaye Holt arrived on April 14th weighing 6 lbs 15 oz and measuring 19.5 inches long. 
She has some dark brown hair, but is mostly bald on top of her little head. We dont really know who she looks like right now..... we just think she is a cutie. She is a content and happy little girl, who loves snuggling with her daddy. We are so excited that she is finally here and part of our family!

Update

Well we are still waiting around for the arrival of baby Hadley. She still has 4 more days till her due date, but we are ready now!! I finished my internship last Friday and am done with my Independent study class, so i am killing time cleaning, packing, and trying to convince this baby to come sooner than later.... If she is anything like her parents then she is a bit stubborn and will stay in there until she is good and ready to come into this world. Kenley is working hard finishing up his classes and many projects, and getting ready for finals. 15 days until graduation!!! woohoo 

Hopefully our next post will have a new little baby in it, cross your fingers!
