This is a really old picture, i have gotten behind on this thing (again). My baby is now nearly 10 months old but this picture is just too cute to not post it. Still super bald, still doing the classic mug shot look, but still cute as ever!!

Mother Dear

On January 1st Kenley's mother passed away in a car accident. JoAnn was the mother of 14 children, a wife of 46 years, a grandmother of 50, and a friend to so many.
Words can not do justice to the hole left by her passing. She always thought of others before herself, she loved everyone and always cheered for the underdog.  Her laugh was contagous, her smile lit the room. She was a listener, a worker, a supporter and a teacher.
I will be forever grateful for the few short years i was able to know her, and for all i was able to learn from her. We are grateful for eternal families and the chance we have to be with her again someday.

Funny Faces

Hadley has some pretty funny faces while eating.  This is her " Are you sure i have to eat this" face. I have yet to get her gagging face on camera, but she is really sensitive to texture and will gag at the first few bites of oatmeal or rice cereal. Water also makes her gag. The one food that she usually never reacts to or makes gross faces at is prunes, she loves them. Funny little girl!

6 Months Old

She finally smiled for the camera! No mug shot this month! Hadley is half a year old, crazy! She has grown up so much just in the last month. She is such a happy and mellow baby, everyone always comments on how laid back and easy going she is.
-Hadley loves to eat. She loves sweet potatoes and squash lately
-She loves to play with other kids. Even thou her version of playing is just mostly watching the
other kids play she gets super excited to watch and interact with her little friends
- She has masted sitting up on her own
- She is still teething, not so fun
-Still a great sleeper durring the night, and takes 2 good naps a day.
- She really loves her Daddy. He can really get her laughing and squealing
She is such a great baby and we are so lucky to have her!!

Fall time in California

Fall is one of my very favorite seasons and here in California has been very different to what we are used to, but we are really enjoying it. We hear about all the cold weather and snow in Utah while we are still enjoying shorts and flip-flops most days. Even thou it doesn't really feel like fall here yet,we are still getting in all kinds of fun fall activities.
We went to a local pumpkin patch to pick pumpkins. Hadley got to pick out her own baby size pumpkin to carve.

We went to our ward trunk-o-treat party. We had fun dressing up and handing out lots of candy. Hadley dressed up as a lobster and Kenley and I were chef's. She was the cutest little lobster ever and we ended up winning the best dressed family prize.
I've never been a huge Halloween fan, but it's lots more fun with a cute baby to dress up!

Daddy in Charge

Kenley dressed Hadley on Saturday, this is the outfit he came up with.....

I guess this is what you get when you have a color blind husband who doesn't have much experience in dressing a little girl. At least he tried! Looks like Hadley approved of his outfit choice thou.
